Happy Holidays

As cold and flu season approaches, the first full week of December dedicates itself to handwashing awareness. On a college campus, the flu can spread like wildfire. Therefore, washing your hands is one of the best ways to prevent the spread of infection. Be sure to scrub your hands with soap for at least 20 seconds before rinsing them under warm water. You should be washing your hands before you eat, after you work out, after using the bathroom and after being with someone who is sick. December is also all about the holidays and spending time with family, friends and loved ones. Whatever holiday you celebrate, be sure to take the time to relax, destress and forget about school for a while. Enjoy all the wonderful foods the holidays have to offer in moderation. While the holidays can be a hectic time, try increasing your physical activity by participating in a holiday run with your family, or parking far away from the mall while shopping.
